Having undertaken a thorough site survey in advance, planned the details of your installation and agreed the quote,  we will arrange a good time and date for the installation and talk you through what will happen on the day. You can then sit back and leave the rest to Benchmark!

What is the installation process on the day?

1. Benchmark will confirm the arrival time with you in advance.
2. The best position for your charger will have been decided in advance but we will check just to make sure before starting work.
3. We will complete a final safety check of your existing electrics before starting work.
4. Next, we will position and fix the charger to the wall, then briefly turn off the power supply while installing the RCBO (circuit breaking safety device) and connecting it to the main supply before carrying out further safety tests and to make sure your home charger is ready to use.
5. Next we will check your new charger is working correctly and show you how it works,  what the different lights mean and provide you with our contact details if you have any questions.
6. We will also need your Wi-Fi password to complete the setup and commissioning of your home charger.

Home installations usually take only a few hours to complete, depending on the complexity of the installation. We will then complete all the paperwork and submit the OLEV application on your behalf, making the whole process as simple as possible for you the customer.
